POWER SCORE

The overall Power Score is at its all-time high since we started tracking.  Small gains for the S&P500 was enough this week.

ETF Power Ratio Score

WHAT’S HAPPENING?

Positive week overall, if modest gains.  Notice on our ETF Asset Class page the difference in the green/light green ETFs when looking at the Global Equity & Country Equity ETF allocations vs. Size & Style Indices – which is the assortment of US market cap indices.  While the US ETFs are still positive across the board in both Power Score and Long Term Trend ratio, they are definitely not performing as strongly as the global markets which are almost a solid green.  Part of that asset allocation we’ve been discussing in recent weeks.

Where is the weakness coming from?  Primarily Retail, Real Estate/REITs, Consumer Staples, Telecom and of course Energy Stocks.  Those have been the drag — still solid performance but definitely holding us back from a bigger breakout.

This upcoming week we watch if this is just a technical bounce after the first wave of selling, or if we have a chance to breakout again to higher highs.

Thanks and great investing!
